Moxie has been DJing since her early teens, now at 24 she has made a name for herself, through her flawless mixing, she plays right across the board, whilst maintaining an element of soul whether spinning House, Disco, Detroit Techno, Dubstep or Grime.

Sharing her extensive music knowledge and deep crates, In 2010 Moxie was invited by Loefah, and became the first female to play at legendary Dubstep night DMZ & was invited back to play their 6th Birthday in 2011.

Moxie has played across the UK, Europe and in 2010 toured with the ATG/ Swamp 81 crew in NY & LA. As well as DJing she runs one of London’s most respected clubnights, Deviation along with Radio 1 DJ Benji B. Moxie has also been on Rinse FM and covered for Sinden’s Kiss show as well as hosting her own show on NTS Radio every other Wednesday 3-5pm at www.ntslive.co.uk.

Moxie continues to grow from strength to strength with Timeout naming her someone to watch for in 2012!

Day #69 Monday 30th January 2012 – D’Angelo – Brown Sugar

I’m a massive fan of D’Angelo and no matter how many times i hear his voice he never ever gets boring. His music is timeless! He’s also performing this Friday 3rd at The Brixton Academy and can’t wait as it will be my first time seeing him!!!

Day #70 Tuesday 31st January 2012 – Fantasia – Not the way I do (Jovann remix)

The first time i heard this tune was at Plastic People a few years back when Floating Points was playing and since then it’s remained one of my favourite house tracks! The vocals work so well with the edit and i’ve always been a fan of Fantasia’a voice so it’s nice to be able to slip a track like this into my sets when i’m on that house tip.

Day #71 Wednesday 1st February 2012 – Missy Elliot ft Timberland – Pass Da Blunt

This has to be one of my favourite tunes from the Supa Dupa Fly album, when Timberland was at a peak in his career and him and Missy coming together was a match made in Hip-Hop heaven!

Day #72 Thursday 2nd February 2012 – Dusky – Calling Me

I’m really into this track at the moment and this London duo have been getting a lot of support from the underground scene recently, with people like Loefah caning their tunes on the radio! Currently no release date on this but i’m sure soon come! Definitely keeping an eye on these producers…

Day #73 Friday 3rd February 2012 – LDC – Die Schwarze Zone Teil 2

Came across this tune on a random youtube hunt and absolutely love it, especially the stern german vocals! I love the fact this tune is so dark, still haven’t been able to play this one out yet, just waiting for that right moment.

Day #74 Saturday 4th February 2012 – Funky Green Dogs From Outerspace – Reach For Me

I’ve always been a sucker for a good vocal and this is one of those tunes that always gets the crowd going! It reminds me of this rave my parents used to take me to when i was a kid called the Whirl-Y-Gig where they would play loads of House & Trance. Only in the 90s would parents be able to take their children to a rave!

And for my last tune of the week I wanted to share something from my teen years. Garage played a really big part in my musical journey when growing up and it’s what i started to mix when i first got into DJing. This tune still sounds sick on the system and always gets a big reaction!
